Accurate front end alignment on any straight axle can be done in your home garage. Stop unnecessary tire wear and pulling side to side.
This basic blue-print shows it all. It’s a no-brainer! The two small notches on each end of the alignment plate are a suggested place to secure your measuring tape.
NOTE: Alignment plates can be made from any ridged material. I.E. Wood, plastic, metal…2 required. All dimensions are in inches.
Instructions: Place alignment plates next to the tires as shown. Loosen the tie rod Bolt on both tie rod ends. Adjust the tie rod until the measurement (A) is 1/16 -5/8 less than at (B). Tighten tie rod ends at both ends.
