To help lower engine noise inside the truck cabs, the back of the accelerator pedal was changed.

Instead of the metal accelerator to the rod from the engine to the metal foot pedal in the cab, the construction was changed. The metal horizontal rod now ended in a round rubber bumper with opening on the back of the pedal.

Just another step to make the cab interior a little quieter. It had been done in their cars for several years.
