We used three expensive toolings to make it just right. 1. The expected visible top surface ridges, all mats usually have. 2. Ridges must be (as per GM) also on the back side. This allows water from leaks and spills to evaporate rather than letting wet metal floors dry out over time. 3. The most expensive tooling was a must to allow for an excess rubber hump in the upper middle. All these years (1955 through 1959) have a center verticle ridge, inside the firewall. This ridge was necessary on the firewall to make the extra space when the long six-cylinder engine was ordered. You will be proud when your new black mat is in your pickup!
