Tell us about your truck :

I bought my 1938 Chev HD 3/4 ton pick up in 1976 from a farmer near Fargo, ND, pulled it home to WI in 1981, & restored it in 2010. I use a 1956 six cylinder engine for more power & oil pressure, & use radial tires. It is restored on the outside as Chev assembled it. The crate in its bed carries photos of a 1938 engine & radiator, & has appropriate '38 parts numbers, logos, & the address Chevrolet's Detroit, MI, assembly plant. I have a 1937 GMC Trailabout that I plan to restore & pull behind our pick up. I need a 1937 GMC Trailabout six page sales brochure.

Tell us about your truck :

Bought in March 2024 from Norman, OK. Started with Wheels to start. Completed new brakes. Discovered the brake lines were bad. Was missing the right side shocks so replaced all shocks. Bought a new single barrel Rochester Carburator since the original one on it was too corroded to rebuild. Next moved to wiring since animals chewed through every wire under the dash. Lastly I am putting a new seat cover since the one on the truck was destroyed by animals. Haven’t decided if a new paint job is in the works or leave as is. I really like the rust and look of this old truck.
