Tell us about your truck :
I have owned many AD trucks over the past 35 years and I recently bought this 53 from an old gentleman who has owned it since 1991. The truck has a 235 from a 1957 pickup, a T-5 transmission from an S10, and a 12 bolt rear end from a 77 K5 Blazer. This was a Colorado truck, so there is no rust like a lot of AD trucks. It had chrome reverse wheels on it and 25 year old tire when I bought it and I bought original 16 inch factory wheels and new Coker tires for it.

Tell us about your truck :
This truck has been owned by my family for 50 years. It was first rescued in 1974 and used as advertising and a parts runner/chaser truck for 15 years by my father's business. It fell into disrepair in the 90s and a full restoration was finally begun in 2022. After three years and countless hours the nut and bolt restoration was completed in July 2025. The truck is mostly stock with a rebuilt 235 full oil pressure engine from a 1954 passenger car. Drivetrain is still the closed driveline with a four speed. It has been converted to 12 volts and has a front disc brake conversion and dual master cylinder under the floor for safety considerations. Worked hard to make this truck drive well with stock components with plenty of steering box and caster adjustments and she goes down the road quite well at this point. This was done as a tribute to my father and uncle's business and re-lettered as it was in 1974. Hope you enjoy my story and the pictures.
