My Dad, Dennis Coday, finished restoring his grandfather's 1946 Chevy Truck last year. The restoration took six years and a lot of blood, sweat, and tears! Dad learned to drive in the truck hauling hay at age of 12. He even has the bill of sale when my great grandfather bought it in 1951. It features upgraded mustang II front suspension with rack and pinion steering and disc brakes at all four corners. It uses an 8.8 rear with 31 spine axles from a 1998 Ford Explorer. Dad is a Ford guy, so it has a 5.0 from an Explorer with ported GT-40 heads and fuel injection. It has vintage air for those hot summer cruises to car shows. It is painted late model Toyota cement gray with black fenders. We are from Rocky Top, TN. It uses a bunch of Jim Carter Truck parts! It's great to see it back on the road and winning trophies at the car show!

Nothing but confusion. It appears as a gmc hence the vin. The original owners daughter is saying the truck was purchased new as seen in photos. Most would say that the cheyenne super never existed however some people have stated that later production highly optioned units could be badged cheyenne super. That combined with the interior have caused much confusion. Hoping someone here can tell me exactly what I have. Thanks
