Twice restored in the family. My son Michael and I performed the first body on frame restoration and drive train rebuild in 2000. He and his brother Matthew drove the truck through high school and college. After they both graduated and moved away from home with their careers and their new life away from home, the truck was delegated to a storage/hay barn. Upon my retirement, I decided I needed a challenge so after 10 years the girl was taken out of storage and the fun began. Some four years and several road trips for parts collection later she has become a near daily driver. The original 228 six remains the power plant and drive line is the original 4 speed with 4.11 differential. She likes to go on road trips but only on secondary state highways. She favors a 50 mph travel speed. Michael and Matthew's daughters really like to visit the girl each time the come to visit Grandma and Pop-Pop.
