: Frame up restoration, reimagined as a WWII U.S. Navy truck assigned to USS VINCENNES (CA44), which sunk off of Guadalcanal in August 1942 with a loss of over 340 sailors. Replaced 216 with a 235 out of a 1960 Impala. Original reproduction WWII paint. Crash box 4 speed with an updated 3.55 rear end. FUN to drive, lots of attention!

It was bought new by JP White in 1949, sold to my mom's dad (Billy Coker) in 1965. Then my grandfather was hurt and unable to drive, so it was sold to my dad (Doug Ray) in 1968. It was sold/given to me in 2018.

Original apparatus from Bovina Center Fire Dept. Sold by district in 1987. Bought back by Chief Kevin Brown in 2020 and restored. SM420 4spd, vacuum 2spd rear with 6.13/8.10 gears. Front mount 500 GPM pump with 175gal booster tank. 8300 original miles.
