Tell us about your truck :
My dad needed a plow truck almost 55 years ago. He ordered one in the fall of 1970. But then GM went out on strike. He ended up taking this truck off the lot and it has been moving snow snow every single year since then! It is a working truck and has never had the luxury of taking a year off. I was 8 when the truck was purchased and I grew up and grew old with this truck. I hope to do some restoration to it when I retire and pass it along to my son. It is not a show truck, but it starts at -40 degrees and moves snow better then any truck I have ever seen, of any age. Tim

I live in Oregon but I am in possession of a 1935 Model EB Panel Van from your neck of the woods. It was once part of the Watt Drug Company trio of Resto Modded panel vans that the owner (the late Bob Davis) used for Pharmacy delivery. Its home base was about 2 miles up the road from you on 23rd St. in Independence. I found it in Idaho and aside from some deferred maintenance, it is in good mechanical order. It now serves daily as the advertising / delivery vehicle for our specialty food business.

This is a 1956 GMC Suburban Carrier. The man I purchased the truck from parked it in a field over 40 years ago. He intended to restore it but never got around to it. Most of the chrome was robbed from the truck and the windows broken as it sat in the field all those years. I brought it home 2 years ago. I spent those 2 years doing a frame off restoration. It took a lot of effort to round up all the chrome. It has the original 316 Pontiac V-8 motor in it. The motor started right up and ran great after sitting all those years. I decided to change the seals and freeze plugs and leave the rest as is. I sent the Hydramatic 4-speed transmission to Detroit to be restored by a professional. He said he believed someone had tried to restore it years ago but was unsuccessful. This is an original truck with all numbers matching. I have taken it to a few show since I finished the restoration. It gets a lot of interest from people at the shows. I enjoy talking to people about the truck and sharing the the information I have on it.
