Tell us about your truck :
The father of a couple good friends of mine, Dwayne Ely, owned and operated a GMC dealership in Hutchinson, Kansas for many years and he saved a few trucks when he sold the dealership with the intention of refurbishing them. This 1936 T-14 was one of the trucks and his dream was to make it new again. He didn't get the chance to begin work on it and I eventually purchased the trucks from his sons. I began to research this year and model after I heard about it's rarity. A number of articles on the Tech Notes of this website has provided valuable information. The truck is so rare that detailed information on the finishes and styles are hard to find. We hope we are making the right decisions on bringing it back to life!

Tell us about your truck :
My wife and I were born in 1950 in Iowa so it seemed fitting to purchase this truck when a friend was selling it. I'm leaving it pretty much original looking but with a 258 6cylinder engine, front disc brakes, a dual brake master cylinder, 1957 rear end, 5 speed Borg-Warner tranny and open driveshaft. Still plenty of upgrades left to do.
